Telling stories

Today we started ‘imitation week’ of the story, ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’. This week, the children are going to learn the story in-depth and complete activities to help deepen their understanding. Today we learnt the beginning of the story. We drew a story map and completed actions to help us remember. You can see this fantastic video of 2 children from 1OF re-telling the beginning of the story:

By the end of the lesson, many were able to re-tell it without looking at the story map!

On Thursday the children will learn the middle section and Friday they will learn the ending. You can see what we are learning in Literacy by looking at the washing lines in your child’s classroom.
